Keeping nails short and tidy is the single most important aspect of foot health and prevents complications such as ingrown toe nails, infections, and skin trauma to adjacent toes. Difficulties with maintaining nails can arise due to pregnancy, visual impairment or limited mobility.
Its common to experience discomfort or pain due to dry and cracked heals. This is a result of the limited number of natural skin oil glands in the foot. This is remedied by the removal of hard skin, smoothing of the heal, and application of urea based cream.
Fungal infections can be contracted in many ways and can create subsequent issues for the nails and toes. We provide advice on the treatment of fungal infections to the skin and nails, with the use proven medicaments, backed up by ongoing support with self treatment between appointments.
